Well Ryan told me last night I should get some kind of award for not having a break down until now! I guess I should celebrate for lasting 2 months with 5 kids, 7 and under, no sleep, and constant spiritual refining! Today the sun is shining and life is better.

Where did 2 months go?

We have had a very busy and trying two months.
The main trial in our life has been the passing of my little nephew Kaden. He lived 9 days and touched many, many lives. This experience has made me stronger in my faith and more grateful for my crazy kids and all that I go through with them. I love my family and extended family so much more. (and I didn't think I could love them more than I already did!)
Alex has had his own little trial. He spent a week in the hospital with RSV. I stayed with him and so many wonderful people helped take care of my other kids. Thanks again to those who helped in any way. It was so good to feel loved and taken care of during that difficult time and also now with this harder trial.

Pray for baby Kaden

My sister Sarah had a baby boy on Monday. The birth went well, but baby Kaden is struggleing. Today 3/3/11 they are considering doing open heart surgery. Please keep their family in your prayers.

Baby Alex is here!

Alex Paul Jackson was born on Monday the 17th at 2:30pm
He was 7 lb 9 oz and 19 1/2 inches long.
Everything went good. All the kids love having a turn holding him.

Well, I've been nesting lately. My Mom went shopping with me to buy food for freezer meals, and now I've been cooking more that I have in the last month. LOL
Besides that I just lay around watching movies and waiting to go into labor. I am already dilated to a 2 and 70% effaced, so hopefully it will be sooner than later. ;)
Ethan is trying to potty train himself by taking his diaper off when ever it is wet or messy and then telling me he needs to sit on the potty. Usually I catch him before he makes a mess, but not always. This is such fun to clean up when I'm so huge. :(
All the other kids are doing great in school and preschool. They can be good helpers too when they are in the mood.
Ryan, is very busy at the Lab and teaching this semester. I wish this baby would come on a weekend so our family schedule won't be so interrupted. I'll just have to be more patient.

Here is our little boy. We are excited to have a buddy for Ethan to play with. Lydia was a little sad at first, but she is doing great now. ;)

1st Day of 1st Grade!

The twins were excited and nervous for the first day of school. They really like their teachers this year and know most of the kids in their classes. Lydia was sad but she is enjoying doing pre-school at home with mom. :)

Well the time has finnaly come..................The ultra sound showed JUST ONE BABY!
I can stop worring about all the posibilities and just be content. :)

Chicago trip

We haven't gone on a trip like this since our honeymoon. (7 years ago)
Ryan had a conference for a week, so I got to fly out and be with him for the last 3 days. Thanks so much to my family and in-laws for all the babysitting! We had a great time and even got an extra day because our flight got canceled. It was so fun to see the beauty of the city and try all the yummy food.
Glad to be home with the kids and start getting into a normal routine again before school starts.
