Sweet songs

The kids love greeting Ethan when ever he wakes up. I caught them singing to him the other day and just had to share. :D

Daniel is in the middle singing the whole time. While Russell gets a little distracted, but joins in at the end. :D

A full time job!

So I have to take a moment and thank the many angels that watch over my family and I. It is a FULL TIME JOB!
Yesterday, the kids brought me Ethan when he woke up from his nap. This might seem OK but let me explain. I was on the computer and the kids were playing in our family room right by me. Then I heard them go upstairs. I didn't worry about Ethan because he was asleep in his car seat, locked in his bedroom. Well, a few minutes, and I do mean just a FEW minutes latter I heard the kids coming down the stairs. As I turned to see them, Russ was holding Ethan around the waist and proudly told me they got him for me. (Ethan was grinning so big, with no concept of the danger he had just escaped)! So in that FEW minutes they had turned over a laundry basket and unlocked the door, then unbuckled Ethan's car seat and carried him down the stairs.
(Dan did tell me that they even put the clothes back into the basket) LOL
The next reason I know we have many angels assisting me with these four kids is...... While playing outside in the Front yard (my first mistake), Lydia ran right in front of a car. I had her playing in our drive way next to me, but I turned my back to comfort Ethan in the stroller and when I looked up again Lydia was running in front of a car who had stopped just in time. (Lucky for her there were many kids outside, so the car was already driving slow). Later Lydia told me that I pulled her shirt and made her move back when she was by the car, but I didn't reach her until she had crossed the street! We talked about how our angels help us and save us when we are being dangerous. I am sure that there are many assigned to my kids because it's too big a job for only one Mom and one angel!

LONG GONE!!!

Russell helped Lydia get rid of those beautiful baby curls.
No I didn't cry, but I sure wanted to!
Lydia was so happy to have her hair cut, that I couldn't let on that I was so so sad. She has loved having it short. I am still getting used to it. It will grow back fast...right?

Sick days and Silly kids!

So for the past week or so we have all been sick with one thing or another. :( Here are the kids being sick...can you tell? LOL Unlike most families we don't slow down we just get silly. Also, we took the kids bowling for FHE and as part of their birthday. They really like bowling, and we all did great! (Ryan and I are so out numbered when we go places! But we are getting the Zone defence down to perfection!!!) :D

Mama Spider

So with four kids at home I often feel like a mama spider! (they carry all of their babies on their back, and the babies are just crawling all over them). My kids are always hovering around and on me. One day I know I will miss it, but some days I just need my own space! LOL Honestly I don't know what I did before my digital camera came along. :D I am sure it took me a lot longer to laugh at the crazy times. Now I run to get my camera just so I can laugh at the photos and share them with Ryan latter. (Also they are my prof to all the stories you hear about my kids). LOL
