We made an Easter book this year with some scriptures and pictures for every day of the last week of Christ's life. It was our favorite part of Easter this year. Every day the kids would say, "what happened to Jesus on this day?" or "we haven't read our book about the 'real' Easter story yet!" I love that they really wanted to learn about Jesus and felt the truth of His Death and Resurrection this year.

I like your Easter idea, I'll have to remember that for next year. We started telling the kids the Easter story every week for FHE a few weeks before Easter. When we first asked them what we celebrate at Easter everything was easter eggs and easter bunny...but by the time Easter rolled around I think we had them straightened out :)
